This report analyses 603 deed poll applications submitted by customers who listed Bristol as their city of residence. All insights in this article are based strictly on recorded application data, including reason for name change, gender, age, application date, and selected services.
No assumptions or external estimates are used — the findings below reflect only what applicants themselves provided.
This allows us to examine who is applying, why they are applying, and what services they select as part of their deed poll order.
Applicants are asked to select a reason for their name change during the application process. In Bristol, the most common recorded reason was “Prefer a different name.”
